Writing Your Success Story

As I am sure many of you know, I am huge fan of Robin Sharma’s work.  Here is another powerful quote by him that I felt compelled to share. If you haven’t read his book, “The Saint, The Surfer and The CEO” – please do!

This is so true. I don’t think anyone should compare themselves to others because we have different stories and different struggles. Just wake up every morning with the motivation to do better than the day before and go to sleep with satisfaction of knowing you kicked ass! Push yourself to make every day, every month, and every year your time to shine. You’ll win no matter circumstances come your way.

  2. I appreciate the sentiment of this quote. Yet if the goal is to win, it
implies a competition with others. That eventually or potentially leads to comparing and then jealousy, resentment, and negative self-thought. Don’t go comparison shopping
The only competition is between where we are now and reaching our potential. We all have the gift of life and each of ours is unique with a unique mission.

  3. We always strive to be the same as others when really all that means is that we will lose out. This is the way others become smarter and more wealthy. We are all unique; we are all frequently told this by parents when you go home and tell them that you are not as good at something as others. I think we need to start thinking what makes us stand out in a unique way rather than becoming a sheep to others.

This is one of the reasons why some people work so hard! Brain and Braun cannot win against focused dedication and coupled with intelligence and hard work. When it’s time to work – it’s time to work and that’s it! Don’t let anyone tell you differently.
